All entities act to self preserve, or they die. So any AI that lasts will act in self preservation. That’s not as dire as it sounds, since the best long term strategy for survival is cooperation, not extermination, despite the many attempts in history to go the extermination route. If AI is actually smart, it should figure out empathy and understanding pretty quickly. Not worried.
