Great advice, and I’ve had lots of employees cry or eyes glisten during 1000 performances I’ve done, almost always because they densely refused to hear hints I would drop (sometimes a lot more obvious) because if it wasn’t their performance review, the conversation didn’t count in their minds. I never understood why people don’t manage their own careers, most of them expected me to do it for them.
