I skipped the middle 2/3 of your post David, not sure why you had so much detail after the brilliance of telling us to write with pen in hand. My equivalent is having my notepad or todo list app open and raring to go anytime a though strikes me when I’m reading. The important part is doing something other than just passively reading. Great reminder.
