I’ve found I have to build up my authors I follow very carefully. I like people who engage with their readers and who write well. That’s a surprisingly strong combination of filters because the best writers will eventually get so popular they can’t respond to every comment. I find that if a writer has more followers than followed, it’s a good sign.
