LA, I do not know what to make of this post. You know I like you right? So take all this with a grain or several of salt.

I agree that God is love, but I’d like to know your definition of love otherwise it’s like saying “everything is everything”. My definition is love = connection, not some romantic fiction perpetuated by Hollywood.

I think the world is a wonderful place and everything is unfolding exactly as it should be. If you’re a believer in God, then why would the all-being make the world any other way than perfect? No reason for despair. Everything we do is by god’s will, so it’s what’s meant to be.

I don’t think we have free will. Show me some kind of evidence please. If the argument is faith, then we can agree to disagree. I’m ok not knowing.

And finally to Canada and our medical euthanasia laws. I guarantee you, no medical professional will EVER suggest this to a patient. NEVER. My daughter is a psychiatrist, just finishing her residency. She’s happy the law is in place, but hopes a patient of hers never asks for it. We believe people can decide to take their lives if they want to, with a whole bunch of caveats. People do it all the time, more per capita in the US than anywhere. All we did was make it legal and force people to go through therapy and counseling before making a tragic decision. I run one of Canada’s largest mental health charities - we need legal euthanasia. The pain that people are forced to live with is unconscionable in many cases.

This post is a big departure in style and content from your past writing. Everything ok in your world? Love you!
