People are acting as if being faster and having better memory is going to somehow make AI superhuman and leap past us into this singularity. Why? Humans who are faster and have better memory aren’t the ones who advance the race, it’s the people with the best ideas, and we’re not exactly sure where ideas come from. I suspect that when AI gets as smart as humans it will also be as dumb as humans. Nothin to worry about here.
