Two thoughts - one is that simply because you enjoy something doesn’t mean it will have a positive outcome.

The second more important one I completely agree Jolka, that moderate effort on the right things will yield much better results than hard work on the wrong things. And the best way to know the right things is continuous experimentation and learning, i.e. experience.
